The distributive leadership model in operation at St Patrick’s places Stage 3 students in senior leadership positions including:

• Student Leadership Team – School Captains and Vice Captains
• Sport House Captains – St Joseph (Red), St Francis (Yellow), Mother Margaret (Blue) and St Patrick (Green) 
• Liturgy Leader
• Community Leader
• Environmental Leader
• Class Prefects - elected each term in grades K-5

These positions allow students to take an active role in the decision making process and in the life of their school.

Students are invited to nominate for positions, to prepare written and oral presentations and to be part of a democratic election process for selection to prime leadership roles. All members of Year 6 are encouraged to realise their leadership capacity and are required to fulfill some form of leadership function within the school.

Stage 3 students are supported in the development of leadership skills in a three day Leadership Camp held at Stanwell Tops Conference Centre and through engagement in Peer Support Training.

Through the operation of leadership roles, students at St Patrick’s continue to make a positive contribution to the climate and culture of their learning community.
