As Principal of St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School, Port Kembla, I warmly welcome you to our website and hope you get an insight into our wonderful school community.
St Patrick’s is a co-educational Catholic primary school, located in the Port Kembla Catholic Parish. A systemic Catholic school, St Patrick’s operates under the auspices of the Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong.
Ours is a school proclaiming a rich historical tradition dating back to 1918. We pride ourselves on our strong connection to the Parish. At St Patrick's we are blessed to have our school on the same grounds as our church, allowing us to regularly engage in the celebration of the Eucharist as a school and parish community. In keeping with the Catholic educational ethos upon which the founding members built the school, St Patrick’s continues to work in partnership with our parents. Find out About Us.
The focus of our combined enterprise is the provision of quality, Catholic education. At all stage levels, our staff aim to nurture each child’s faith experience, to recognise and cater for individual needs and challenge each child to grow, adapt and positively engage in learning. This is a learning community where all are encouraged to build and maintain healthy relationships. Read about our Learning and Teaching.
Currently a single-stream primary school, today’s population of approximately 180 students is arranged in classes From Kindergarten to Year 6. Demographic shifts indicate that we are entering a period of growth marked by increased demand for enrolment.
I can’t speak highly enough of the design and new learning spaces that are not only innovative, but reflect our current and future needs for teaching and learning. See more of What We Offer.
